James Berglund began his civil practice in 1990. He spent much of the next nine years representing doctors in medical malpractice cases. During that time, he also had several large plaintiff jury verdicts including one of the North State’s largest slip and fall verdicts against a major retail corporation. His practice includes a large number of truck and auto cases with serious bodily injury. These injuries frequently include trauma to the spine and neck as well as traumatic brain injuries.

More recently, Mr. Berglund obtained a Butte County jury verdict against a major automobile insurance company involving a low speed accident. That verdict and related court-approved charges had a final judgment of more than $1.1 million.
